Building Successful
Families Program

Our mission is to educate and empower resource parents through quality services that prepare them to provide safe, loving and stable homes for foster and adoptive children. 

Our Services

Welcome to the Building Successful Families Program page! We are excited that you are here! We are pleased to partner with Fresno County Department of Social Services to provide trainings and support to Resource/Foster Parents in Fresno County.  With our mission in mind we provide a variety of supports that last throughout the year.  This includes:

Online Trainings

We have various trainings that have been recorded and posted online. Families can view the videos at their convenience, and then fill out a short quiz. Once the quiz is completed and sent to us, we provide you with the certificate of completion within 3 business days. It is an excellent opportunity for those who are not able to make it work to attend a class! (Fresno County Training Hours Provided)

Live Trainings

(Currently offered via Zoom and in person)

Additionally, several times per month we offer live, 2-3 hour trainings. These trainings differ in topic, and offer families the opportunity to earn more training hours, or get more support throughout the month.

Coffee Connections/Support Groups

(Now in-person!!)

These engagement groups are aimed at providing support to Resource Parents, with Resource Parents. Facilitated by one of our capable and positive staff, these groups offer individual’s the opportunity, in a small group setting, to share their own needs and concerns, and have those needs and concerns met.
